We are so excited to welcome BLACKPINK back to NYC for their show at Citifield on Saturday, July 26th that’s sure to be a once in a lifetime event for us and 40,000 other screaming fans. BLACKPINK is a South Korean girl group formed by YG and undoubtedly the biggest girl group in the world. The group, composed of Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo, and Rose, formed in 2016 and have been on a dominating run since then. They entered the scene with 2 #1 hits - Whistle and Boombayah - ahead of their debut album, Square One. Their popularity continued to skyrocket - they were the first Korean girl group to have #1 Billboard hits in Canada and The UK, and are also the first and only Korean girl group to get over 2 billion views on a single video on Youtube. They have also broken 5 Guinness World Records for their massive worldwide success. They have sold 20 million records worldwide and have over 40 billion streams across all platforms, and have been written about over 500 times in various articles and interviews across the globe.
And with the major internal success all of the members have had with BLACKPINK, they have been able to have independent careers and work with every major name in the industry, as well as other ventures into fashion and television. They have worked with the likes of Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Jimmy Kimmel, Kia Motors, Samsung, Pepsi and Sprite, Adidas, and Dior Cosmetics - to quite literally name a few.
The girls have toured extensively as well - hitting what seems to be every country in the world that they have chosen to perform in.
